Preventing Abrasion And Greening Sabu Raijua, Tbm Amien Initiate Planting Movement
o prevent coastal erosion and create a Green Sabu Raijua, the Ama Ina Community Learning Park (TBM AMIN) initiated a movement to plant around 57 ketapang trees on the coast of Leokowa, ledetalo village, Sabu Liae District, Sabu Raijua Regency, Province East Nusa Tenggara, Tuesday (07/03/2023)
According to WBN monitoring, the tree planting activity was led directly by TBM Amin Manager, Ama Wila Huky together with around 25 children, the Head of Ledetalo Village, Yusak Manggi and several village officials.
The manager of TBM Amin, Ama Wila Huky, told this media that the tree planting activity initiated by TBM Amin had the aim of preventing abrasion and as a step to reforest Sabu Raijua.
"We initiated this activity to prevent abrasion and as a step to green this area," said Ama Wila Huki
According to him, the tree saplings planted were the result of their own nursery by the children of Amien Reading Park and there were several trees donated from the nursery by the Indonesian Sheep Foundation.
"These Ketapang tree saplings are the result of self-seeding by the children and there are also donations from friends of the Sheep Indonesia Foundation," he said.
Apart from planting trees on Leo Kowa beach, Ama Wila Huki also said that the children of Amien Reading Park had also planted trees at several springs such as in Ledeke Village and Eilogo Village.
"We have also planted trees at several water sources in Ledeke Village and Eilogo Village," he said
Ama Wila, hopes that the children will continue to care for the plants that have been planted, because as the management of TBM Amin, he will carry out monitoring and in the future TBM AMIN will develop fruit plant seeds.
"Hopefully in the future the children can continue to care for these plants, we will schedule regular monitoring. "We also hope that the SHEEP Indonesia Foundation can continue to be a partner for children so that children's awareness of the environment continues to grow," he concluded.
Separately, the Head of Ledetalo Village, Yusak Manggi, expressed his gratitude to TBM Amien for collaborating with the Ledetalo Village government to plant trees at the Leokowa Beach tourist destination.
